Rebekah to be known as AquarianQuirks on TikTok until her accounts singled in on ghostly content. However, the name still sticks with her personal Instagram profile (feel free to go check out what her non-ghost centric life looks like). Before her days going viral on TikTok she was known as a professional producer, playwright, director, stage manager, and performer of the stage and small screen. (Yes, if you may have seen her a few times on the ID Channel.) She has lived and worked in nine different cities in North Carolina stretching from the mountains to the coast as well as Washington D.C. and Maryland. It was also common to see her working or just snooping around in New York City. When the Pandemic of 2020 struck, Rebekah had only just started up the Quirks & Conjure YouTube page. Little did she know that would be her only source of occupation for most of the year as all her other work dried up with live theatre.
So let’s get into the ghosty stuff. Rebekah has been having an off-and-on relationship with the spirit world since as far back as she could remember. However, during most of her childhood and youth, she was a part of a religious practice that was closed off to anything outside of Heaven and Hell. Despite what she understood to be before her, she closed herself to all of it for much of her development until her late teens. By that time she had found a more supportive and healthy faith practice after discovering Quaker teachings. While studying for her BFA in Acting at Elon University, she nearly minored in religion and took a fascination in the history of ancient religions. Post-college she threw herself into the daily-grind of acting and producing and close a lot of her spiritual side up in a trade for practicality and street smarts. All of that changed when she first moved to a very active haunted house in Wilmington, North Carolina. Things moved quickly when she was sought out to join up on ghost tours and more experiences started to happen. It’s been a fast way to reopen to a lot of a lot, but it seems that fate has a way of taking the wheel when it’s time to get back on track. Now Rebekah is a key figure for spiritual advice, connecting with the other side, and telling stories of a ghostly nature.
